Hey there! My name is W Hayden Lander (my name is literally just W...that's a story for another day!) and I am the Texas FFA's Area III Association Reporter, as well as one of ten Ford Leadership Scholars for the 2012-2013 year. I created this blog, after being inspired by Miss Kelli Neuman's, in order to share my experiences and personal discoveries as an FFA member. If all goes well, I should hope to continue doing this even when my FFA career is over. As they say, you can take the corduroy jacket from the boy, but you can't take the boy from the corduroy jacket... Or something like that.
Hopefully, this blog will help me in fulfilling my purpose partially, which I define as follows: People have certain expectations of what you can accomplish. My purpose isn't to help you meet those expectations. My purpose is to inspire you to go beyond them. I believe that by defining my purpose like so, I can help make a positive difference in the lives of many. It is because of those who inspired me that I am able to work toward achieving this today. If I can help one person out, then I feel as if I've done okay.
As an Area Officer in the Texas FFA, I have the opportunity to attend the State Leadership Conference from June 2 through 5, though my officer team will be leaving on the first and staying overnight in Temple. I am certain that this experience will inspire my first of hopefully many "quality" posts. Until then, y'all enjoy life one step at a time. Go any faster and you might trip!
